The Gifts of the Covid Years

Moving Beyond our Physical State

Returning from holidays, Dean and I were talking about what the next blog post might be; what was pertinent and relevant right now.

I love how when I get into clinic the answer often comes from my patients and their experiences. It’s a regular thing that I will get similar stories building into a theme in a particular week or month. Frequently enough that it taps me on the shoulder and makes me think about what is going on in the bigger picture. Dean and I will then brainstorm on whether this is relevant, what it means, where we might go with the topic and how we might expand to make the content useful for you.

Many of us have recognised that the Covid years brought different things to different people. For some it was about fear, for some loss of loved ones, for others coercion and for some it was loss of freedom, and in particular being unable to enjoy travel as they had been accustomed, often to connect with family.

But one of the very big things that came out of those years was a massive spiritual awakening and in actual fact, and I’m sure I’ve said this before, this was one of the reasons the pandemic happened – man-made or not! It brought massive opportunity for mankind and, in turn, for the planet in terms of what the next step is in our evolution, both spiritual and physical.

Before 2020 I was often a little careful about getting into a spiritual path discussion straight away with new clients, despite having written about it for more than 20 years. After 2020 I just came straight out and asked and found the majority of people were much more willing to talk openly about their spiritual beliefs and life philosophies. Lots of younger people were awakening (or had already come onto their path early, ready for what is to come!) and we could begin to see the future of our planet being laid out for us.

Sometimes in our spiritual life we have a sense of what is going on, but what is actually going on can be something completely different! We’ve frequently been focussing on the higher chakras, our connection to source, raising our vibration, standing in the light and trying to negate the darkness. We may have been struggling at this level for months, years, lifetimes even, and wondering why we are not moving forwards, not healing.

Sometimes what we perceive as being the issue is actually completely different. What’s on the surface may not reflect what’s happening on the deeper levels where perhaps we don’t want to look. So often we are like the swan who is floating calming in the light above, but paddling crazily underneath the water! On the surface showing our spiritual purity and calm and below fighting the shadows.

Moving from the 3D into 5D higher dimensional energy means we need and want to let go of who we were and become the new us. We want to stand in our power, know our higher selves, understand the dynamic of our relationships and unshackle from a focus primarily on physical health.

The universe gives us plenty of taps on the shoulder to point us in the right direction, to literally tell us what we need to work on, what we need to heal. Sometimes we can be very blinkered, or maybe life is too busy for us to want to stop or even to be able to stop and address what’s right in front of us.

Healing the Family Matrix

Getting through 2023 has been a challenge for many with a focus on family relationships and our inheritance from the generations, including the physical inheritance from them in terms of health conditions or mental states that permeate the layers of family.

Healing the family matrix on all levels has been a major theme in recent months, consciously or unconsciously, and something we need to work through and resolve, so we can move forward. This is an opportunity and the time to recognise and resolve the issues that vibrate within our family matrix, finalising any unfinished business, addressing any missed lessons, and picking up on missed destiny points and karmic blocks that are circulating in these layers of inheritance.

It is no surprise that the referendum for The Voice to Parliament comes at this time. At a very simplistic level of ‘yes’ or ‘no’ it is a major opportunity to resolve some of the historical divisions in our Australian family.

As a soul we have signed up to address these ancestral and karmic issues on some level in order to heal our family matrix. Part of our purpose on this earth plane – perhaps our whole purpose for this lifetime – may be to dissolve all that no longer serves our family group, so that everyone can move on, breaking the chains that bind us.

As this family inheritance rises up into the conscious realm of the physical level, I’ve observed that it is frequently bringing health issues which we can trace back through the family line.

Now is the time to tune into this matrix and consider whether there are people (passed or present) who need nurturing, acknowledgement, love in order to heal ourselves and affect the whole matrix in a positive energy.

In order to become our higher self – all wise, all loving – it is necessary to address this family inheritance, and many of us know this and are currently working there. And be assured, if we don’t listen and don’t act we may find ourselves in a place we don’t want to be and at the moment that place seems to be physical illness.

Moving from 3D to 5D, the insight Dean and I discussed recently is that the process of letting go in order to increase our vibration will likely require us to move through the inherited physical health issues of the generations before us. By this I mean that if you perhaps have a family history of high blood pressure, stroke, cataracts, cancer or similar, in order to move through the shadowlands to the light, you might get to experience some physical aspect of this medical history yourself.

From what I’ve observed it is often not a major experience or episode, but it is an awakening experience. It’s an insightful experience that requires us to ask some searching questions.

In some cases it may not just be a quick trip through and beyond. In clinic over the past couple of years I’ve seen more people with strokes and heart issues, and many more people with aggressive cancers. These people are navigating the medical system, which became a very scripted and “tick the box” process through Covid. These individuals are perhaps having to accept drugs they don’t want to be on and even have surgery they would never have considered in the past.

What happens when we get ensconced in the system is that we can spend a lot of energy and time focussing on how we got here, why we’re here and whether or not we’re going to follow the medical advice. It can be a scary place to be, bringing uncertainty and a lot of fear. One of the biggest comments people make is the lack of respect they experience from the medical professionals (not all of them of course!) and a lack of information provided on procedures, necessity for certain drugs and advice on drug interactions, for example.

But the other comment I’ve heard from some of my clients, who are very happy to speak up and advocate for themselves, is that they actually bring insight to the medical professionals they interact with. And remember that medical professionals these days are very carefully educated, given the science that suits the system and not necessarily the patient, and trained to ignore anything that doesn’t fit the narrative, no matter how obvious it may seem to us.

If we’re having this very physical experience, we can a spend an awful lot of time interacting with Doctor Google and that’s fine. We need to feel informed, whether or not our doctor has taken the time to provide their side of things. We can also spend a lot of time asking why and how, even why did God or the Universe let this happen to me. And that’s ok too. We do need to process the information and the experience.

My other insight would be that it should not be a place where you get stuck. You don’t want to spend years dwelling on treatments, ways to heal, perhaps doing your utmost to avoid ending up in the medical system. It may be that going through the medical system rather than around, might get you a shortcut to where you need to be on the other side. Yes, you may need to take drugs or have surgery, but if that means you can move forwards and get on with your life, sometimes that is more beneficial than spending years fighting against it all and making it the focus of your life.

How do we want to live?

We want to be able to live the life we dream as we want to live it. Not in a physical or material way, but in a more centred and grounded way.

The focus on our physical health (a major focus for more than three years), a focus on the dramas of our lives (again a major focus of the Covid years), and a focus on the desires we have materially for our lives (now a focus in the housing and cost of living crises) are major distractions, designed to draw our focus away from what is happening “over there”. Social media and the news platforms keep us tied into this. We need to step out of the matrix and focus on the bigger picture of what is going on in our own lives.

In 1949 Albert Einstein warned that the time would come when the rich would control the means of communication (the media), making it impossible for ordinary people to make informed decisions, and that’s certainly what we have seen happen in recent years, with professional fact checking companies coming to the fore to ensure our facts are “correct”. Finally the misinformation of the fact checking of the Covid years is now coming to the fore on some mainstream platforms, which may or may not be helpful. Waiting to fact check that one!!

Finding well balanced information has become increasingly difficult so another aspect of the Covid years has been a building of communities where like minded people support each other, but again, as I wrote in the Practising Discernment post back in June, we need to assess whether the energy of these groups is right for us on an ongoing basis.

We need to focus on the bigger picture, not on what’s immediately in front of us in order to move beyond.

Perhaps that takes surrender, it certainly takes courage and sometimes we need to go against the flow!

We want to be the new us, one of the gifts of the Covid years that just keeps giving!

It is your time to transmit your light.

Melanie Creedy calls herself “just a homeopath” because homeopathy is actually her whole world; all day, every day! While she’s dipped her toe into a multitude of modalities, is a Reiki Master, Master Essence Maker, great with a pendulum and has a passion for gardening and machine embroidery, her first love will always be homeopathy.
Its breadth and depth continues to astound her; covering the emotions, the physical body, mental health and of course the spiritual/life path. The energetic resonance of the remedies, whether made physically in a homeopathic lab or energetically on a vibrational potentiser, touch the core and guide us on our journey of awakening to the life we have created and the life we desire.
Melanie has used homeopathy since the mid 1980s and has been in practice since 1998. For many years she ran The Children’s Ear Clinic in Western Australia, but since her tree change to Tasmania, has a special interest in women’s health. Her first love and passion however has always been helping individuals manage their journey on the spiritual path with homeopathy and her range of essences.
Melanie works with people using soul talk and soul listening and intuiting esoteric vibrational remedies to remove obstacles on the path. This can relate to physical, mental and emotional issues which are often part of our ‘soul choices’ for this lifetime. Her approach is simple but deep, grounded, thoughtful and pragmatic. Not too much airy-fairy-speak going on here, just a drawing together of the strings of your life.
Melanie is a Licentiate of the British School of Homeopathy, holds a Bachelor of Health Science (Homeopathy), Diploma of Nutrition, Diploma of Yoga and she has been a Reiki Master since 1998.
