What is your Weak Point?
If you’ve been working on your spiritual or life path you may have already identified where your weak point is, where you are most vulnerable to what life can throw at you.
Wherever that weak point lies is where you will feel the most vulnerable in life. Perhaps you have a tendency to feeling judged or criticised, or maybe you experience guilt or shame or have a tendency to be the victim or feel unacknowledged. Sometimes our weak point may feed into the physical level making us constantly challenged by a particular energy or substance.
It’s usually a repeated pattern of behaviour or physical experience, it can be very difficult to shift and it’s one of those things which will come up if we are challenged. And while this point of vulnerability always offers opportunities for growth, it can become a breaking point over time, not just spiritually but on the mental, emotional and also the physical level.
Energetically this is the point where we can be easily distracted, disarmed and disempowered. It’s the point where life will hit us just when we don’t want to be down! I’m sure you all remember coming down with tonsillitis just before a big event or falling in a heap after perceiving an innocent comment as a criticism.
Understanding that we all have a weak point and that we are vulnerable at this point is an important first step. And yes we do all have one! Working out what and where it is – and sometimes this is obvious if we think about it – and then finding ways to make ourselves stronger, less vulnerable and unbreakable can be empowering and help us move forward in our lives.
We will usually know where our weak point is on the physical level and it’s often the only level that people really focus on. Maybe we’re prone to chest infections or tonsillitis and that’s been a lifelong issue. Perhaps we work really hard on this physical level and we go along well for a while, but overwork, family dramas or a major trauma can bring us suddenly and swiftly to our knees.
Covid – the Great Awakening
There’s been a spotlight on this weak point or point of vulnerability in such a big way following the Covid virus and also the outcomes of the vaccinations. We’ve all had patient after patient coming into clinic talking about recurrent sickness and inability to recover. And patient after patient where exploration of the current symptoms show they match a history of weakness or illness in a particular organ, system or just a single joint if they’re really lucky.
One may well say that this is all there is to it, that the virus and the vax just have a tendency to dig up old symptoms and reactivate them, causing ongoing inconvenience in some people, or a major and aggressive reoccurrence of something which has been in remission in others.
You may already know that my thought process is holistic, that I like to look at the bigger picture, and a lot of you are also of that mindset. So it won’t surprise you if I talk about the Covid Years as the “great awakening”. Not just for those who were asleep, but also for those who were already awake but perhaps distracted or floating happily in their little rainbow bubbles – no offence intended!
I’m sure you’re sick of me saying that we are spiritual beings inhabiting a physical body existing on a physical planet. This brings with it some major challenges depending on our choice for this incarnation. So while we need to work on our spiritual or life path to raise our vibration, we also need to focus on the physical but there needs to be balance in that process. That doesn’t necessarily mean you have to work on fixing your physical health, but it does mean that you need to work on grounding, on focusing on the whole, and not just the parts that are interesting and feel good like the Crown or Higher Heart chakras.
The last few years have been tortuous for many, with all sorts of things being thrown at us. It’s felt like being at war – us against them at times. Many people headed towards their spiritual paths, ascension work, astrology and similar to understand and to heal, but also to hold the light. It was a good way to escape, to advance, to feel supported by our tribes, and to feel whole within ourselves. But what we’re starting to see now as practitioners, are people who were not vaxed or people who perhaps only had one or two, presenting in clinic as if they have had multiple jabs (and yes I do know some people weren’t affected at all, which is a whole other, probably short, blog!). So people who were previously well and unaffected, suddenly looking like they are affected by shedding, finding old issues coming up to be addressed, and finding it uncomfortable and confusing.
So if you’ve been working hard on ascension, connecting with your spiritual teams, working on opening the Heart and increasing the light through the Crown, but you’re suddenly being hit on the physical or the mental levels, it’s time to regroup and rework your life plan. It’s just another wake up call. We’re not done yet!
As I’ve said frequently to my clients, 2023 in particular was the year of leaving behind the person we chose to incarnate as initially. Things have changed so much energetically, things are speeding up and we are needed more than ever to hold the light for others. To do this we need to step into the energy of our authentic and true selves, our spiritual selves, to claim our sovereignty. It’s time to become the high vibrational being we have worked so hard towards becoming by letting go of what no longer serves us, like a snake shedding its skin or an actor dropping their mask.
So like that snake shedding its skin, we move into the new us or actually the true and original us. We are not the person we used to be, the person that others in our life have known. We are brighter and shinier and higher vibration. We are beings of light who need to let our light shine. But we’re possibly not quite there, particularly if that sounds scary or unrealistic. We’ve probably already realised we’re stuck on something, even if we’re not sure what that is, and we can’t move forward. And without a doubt it’s going to be those things, perhaps emotions, that have held us back in the past, which is our life theme if you like, and probably our ancestral theme.
We may find ourselves more easily triggered to anger, to grief, to depression, to overwhelm, and that’s certainly been what I’ve seen coming up. It may even be physical symptoms suddenly appearing as a way to stir us out of our focus on the life we’ve created and immersed ourselves in. It may just be confusion as to what to do next.
It’s like we’ve been in the eye of the storm for the past year or so after the craziness of the early Covid years, but now we’re being hit by the rest of the storm passing over. It’s not so much manufactured, but coming from the higher realms, poking and prodding us, sometimes gently if we’re very aware, sometimes it really is like the storm crossing our energy field.
It’s a time to make a decision. Do we just keep avoiding the things that make us feel weak or vulnerable, taking a few pills, focusing on the physical? Do we keep compensating with learned techniques or fidget toys, more crystals, more distractions, or do we need to get down to work. That’s what we’re being pushed to do if we’re feeling overwhelmed by our emotions, we’re being battered by the energies, or we had a horrible year with health issues.
2024 is the start of a whole different energy, so in order to be able to move forwards we need to push ourselves to look deep and look back, to really and honestly identify where our weak points are and to look hard at ways to move through.
Top tips for 2023 were grounding, grounding and more grounding, which seems really basic to seasoned light workers, but is much more necessary right now because with more light coming into the planet, the darkness tries very hard to stay dark! Everything is stronger, so you need to be too.
2024 will be more of the same, but the energy is lighter and the future looks more optimistic, although you may have to wait patiently to understand what is actually going on.
The other top tip is protection (thank you Karen for reminding me of this one), really same comment as above, plus a strong need to question whether you are living authentically and with integrity.
And all of these, I’m sure, are things that will have been challenged by your feelings of vulnerability and weakness but are key to making the changes and being able to move through the storm that may have been your experience in recent times.
To be clear, it’s not about purely healing the physical, but integrating at the soul level. It’s a (w)holistic process, so you can’t just heal your recurrent sore throat, you need to unravel where this comes from in order to become whole; to raise your vibration and maintain that level.
What can you do?
There are so many tools available to us and sometimes that’s part of the problem. Too many distractions can keep us treading water in the same space for ever. Yes, it’s great we can have a focus or a focal point, but make sure that focus is not just a way of avoiding the elephant in your room!
It’s a time for brutal honestly. If the same thing keeps coming up to be addressed, you need to stop using the same tools to try and fix it. Sometimes it doesn’t need a tool, it may be asking you to go within, to be quiet, to be contemplative.
Are you missing it?
As I was writing this post I sat for a minute and looked out of the corner of my eye, then I blinked and then I saw it!
If you’re familiar with Dr Who and the Weeping Angels, you’ll know exactly what I mean by this.
The answer may be right in front of you, or just behind you and you’re not seeing it. It may be coming closer and closer, but still you’re focused where you’re focused. Do you need to refocus? Do you need to stop focusing so hard?
Sometimes it appears for just a second but you blink, miss it and carry on as if nothing happened.
Sometimes we need to stop trying so hard, stop running round in those small circles, searching the internet for the answer. We all know the answer is within, right?!
I’ll leave that one with you to ponder!
Do you need to journal?
Sometimes writing things down can be such a great way of focusing on what’s what and even to let things go. Jottings in the morning or evening, letting the subconscious come through.
Maybe you’re an artist and your journaling is in pictures. Whatever resonates with you, getting those inner thoughts and feelings down on a piece of paper using a pen can be grounding, thought provoking and enlivening. It can also bring a different angle on something we thought we had set in stone.
A gratitude journal in particular can bring a real energy of positivity if you’ve been feeling a bit challenged, negative or down. Finding the small things to be thankful for can really open up the heart, bring in the light and lift the energy.
Are you keeping your eyes open for the little hints that the universe sends?
There’s no such thing as coincidence.
The biggest things I find when I do a first consultation for someone who has requested a Soul Whispering consultation is the synchronicity of the moment and the meeting. The timing is always perfect, so if I say to someone requesting a meeting that they will need to wait three months and they are prepared to wait, I absolutely know that the meeting is meant to be and the timing will be perfect.
Much as we’d like, we can’t always force these things in our timeframe.
Divine time is different time!
Do you need to change something?
Using a meditation practice as an example of things needing to change, ask yourself do you need to adjust when you meditate, how you meditate, even should you meditate or shouldn’t you?
We can become stuck in a spiritual rut and again we may just be treading water, but not making any real progress. There is absolutely always progress to be made while we are on the earth plane. That’s why we’re here!
Yes, you may be in the situation of helping others, but even then you are constantly being offered new tools, new insights and increased clarity by the higher realms. Downloads and upgrades are constant and frequent at the moment, so sit quietly and turn in.
Don’t fight, don’t struggle, don’t beg for things to happen. Just be still and quiet at some point in your day, because there is not a lot of this in life. That may be all you need to do!
Do you need some help?
Sometimes we don’t like to ask for help, particularly as healers and light workers. We think we should have the tools and should be able to fix ourselves. It’s a bit like the teacher becoming the student again, or the doctor becoming the patient. There are many roles we need to play and many people who gift us their wisdom. They don’t need to be the most famous intuitive in the world or the best specialist doctor. Often when we’re looking too long and too hard in one direction, we might miss the real message about our true point of vulnerability and who can support us.
How many times have I had a conversation with someone similar to the one below.
Person: “I have trouble hearing out of this ear. I’ve seen all the doctors and they can find nothing wrong.”
Me: “What don’t you want to hear?” – actually Dean loves to say this to people!
Person: A look of confusion then “no, it’s my ears. I just can’t hear!”
This conversation can be about anything; why can’t I get pregnant, why do I have such bad allergies, why do I have breast cancer . . . and so on. And while as healers, teachers and lightworkers we often have it clear, sometimes a revisit, a flex into the issue can refine the question we are asking and the answer we think we have received.
So what I’m saying is watch out for the signs, listen for the offers of help, go with your gut, rather than your head and look at ways to change what you’re doing. It is possible to become stronger, less vulnerable and more authentic, and often it’s not about trying harder, but trying softer.
