More about Get Prepped (Cold, Flu, YKW Support)

& Travel Prep (Immune Support for Overseas Travel)

Some individuals seem to come down hard with colds, flu and other acute illness, and each season seems a little worse, so immune support is becoming more vital. In 2020 we had a new global situation arise and our latest versions of these products continue to cover this, plus give general support.

As always the best advice is good hygiene, good nutrition and quick action with your homeopathics. Usual government directives also apply. Always see your GP if symptoms persist or are unmanageable at home.

General Immune Support

Homeopathy offers support and management in these minor but sometimes intense states. Further information can be found on the website on remedies for winter ailments and also for latest strains relative to our health experiences from 2020 on.

Through the winter months you will find our latest suggestions in a post pinned to the top of the blog.

How to Use – Get Prepped & Travel Prep

Get Prepped – in times past we only needed to recommend Get Prepped during winter or for travel. These days there seems to be never-ending illnesses hitting, in particular, families with children and older people. We now tend to recommend year round support with the remedy when there is something circulating in your local environment and during any travel where you will be mixing with others.

In addition to providing support, the remedy can be used to manage symptoms should they arise.

Travel Prep – this is the same remedy as Get Prepped, so you don’t need both. See the notes below Support For Travel for “before” and “after” doses, which are the most important instructions when you are travelling via plane, train, cruise ship, etc.

How to use GP and/or TP as a support remedy

  1. Take once a fortnight through winter if health is generally good
  2. Take weekly for individuals who are prone to colds, flu, etc or where risk is high
  3. Give weekly to new babies, children in childcare or just starting school
  4. Also give to the rest of the family!
  5. For travel, particularly overseas or on a cruise, see our specific Travel Prep remedy and instructions, or read below

If you believe you’ve been a close contact:

If you’ve been in contact with someone who has come down sick, take the remedy once a day for 3 days then revert to weekly until you see whether you develop symptoms.

What to do if you or someone in the family comes down sick:

Support the patient – give GP or TP 3 times a day for 3 days alongside other well indicated homeopathic remedies and supplements.

Support the family – If someone in the family comes down with a cold or flu, give once a day for 3 days to everyone else as a support remedy until you see if symptoms develop.

Support for Travel

  1. For travel (domestic or international) start GP or TP 3 days before departure with doses once a day, continue to 3 days after arrival (ie 6 days in total).
  2. Repeat as above on the return journey. We do find the return journey doses are the most critical.
  3. Take GP or TP weekly through your trip as an immune support.
  4. If symptoms arise follow instructions above.
