Description

While there are many good remedies for gastro and other acute tummy complaints, sometimes it’s hard to work out what to take or perhaps the remedy you have in your kit isn’t the right one.

This combination is one of our best sellers and have been around for more than a decade. It derives from those homeopathics traditionally used for the acute stage of mild diarrhoea, vomiting, pain and wind, and also for recovery from a gastric complaint.

It can be well supported, particularly during recovery by our Probiotic Kefir 6x to help recolonise the gut (along with probiotic and prebiotic foods if appropriate), as well as Gaertner, a bowel nosode.

This is my “don’t go on holiday without it” remedy!

This is a good remedy to include in a kit if you are visiting countries such as Bali or India on your travels, but is equally good in the home kit for those tummy bugs that do the rounds.

Diarrhea and vomiting in babies and small children can be serious. Always seek medical advice as dehydration can be rapid.

SVR12 Gastro Combx (Arsenicum Album 6c, Carbo Veg 30c, Kefir 6x, Merc Sol 30c, Podophyllum 30c, Veratrum Album 30c).

Dosage for Remedies

These notes are a general guide.

Homeopathy is not an exact science and while we can offer general suggestions as to how to give the remedies, each case will be a little different in terms of how often a remedy may be required to bring about improvement.

With homeopathics, because we are working with energy, not substance, we want to give just enough to stimulate the body to do the job. If your remedy works brilliantly with the first dose, you don’t need to repeat unless the symptoms appear to be coming back again.

Drops

Our products are made up according to traditional homeopathic pharmacy protocols and include a small amount of pure alcohol as a preservative.  You can read the FAQ here on alcohol in remedies.

For newborns,  if you do not wish to put the drops in the mouth, you may apply to the soles of the foot or the top of the head. You can also purchase drops and add a spray top to your order, so that you can spray the remedy onto the soles of the feet. The remedy will work just as well whichever way you use it.

Babies under 6 months – 1 drop or 1 spray

Babies 6-12 months       – 2 drops or 1 spray

12 months and above   – 4 drops

Organic German Sucrose

Give 1 or 2 pilules per dose regardless of age.

Crush between 2 clean teaspoons if you are giving to a baby and you are uncomfortable with giving whole.

Sometimes the pilules can look wet. This is due to the nature of the organic sucrose. The alcohol – which is the remedy applied to the pilules – will evaporate off as you use your remedies. They should not stick together and this does not affect the effect of the remedies.

Tissue Salts

If you have selected a single tissue salt remedy or a combination, the general suggestion is to take three times a day for up to three months (as per Dr Schuessler’s advice). However, we would expect you would see improvement much sooner than this, likely as soon as a couple of weeks.  If you have taken for one month with no obvious difference, choose another tissue salt or consult your homeopath.

Bottle Sizes

10g pilules: approximately 110 pilules

30ml drops: approximately 120 doses at 4 drops per dose

50ml drops: approximately 200 doses at 4 drops per doses
