Headaches (aka Bad Head)

Description

Our Headaches combination (previously known as Bad Head) contains remedies traditionally indicated to assist with those annoying and (hopefully) infrequent headaches from tiredness, eyestrain, hangover, sinus or with acute illness.

It may also help with the beginnings of a migraine-type headache and it contains Kali Bich one of my best suggestions for the onset or suspected onset of a migraine. This might be visual disturbance, aura or similar and a couple of doses taken immediately, can often avoid a major event.

Headaches an also be useful for menstrual headaches, headaches from fatigue, over-studying or too much stress.

It also includes Nux Vomica is useful for hangover-type headaches and Glonoine (small remedy, special request) for headaches from too much sun, or where the pain is intense with photophobia, perhaps as part of a migraine presentation.

Dosage for Remedies

These notes are a general guide.

Homeopathy is not an exact science and while we can offer general suggestions as to how to give the remedies, each case will be a little different in terms of how often a remedy may be required to bring about improvement.

With homeopathics, because we are working with energy, not substance, we want to give just enough to stimulate the body to do the job. If your remedy works brilliantly with the first dose, you don’t need to repeat unless the symptoms appear to be coming back again.

Do read the individual directions on each product (both on the label and in the How to Use in the product description) to ascertain whether usage differs to the suggestions here.

Drops

Our products are made up according to traditional homeopathic pharmacy protocols and include a small amount of pure alcohol as a preservative.  You can read the FAQ here on alcohol in remedies.

For newborns,  if you do not wish to put the drops in the mouth, you may apply to the soles of the foot or the top of the head. You can also purchase drops and add a spray top to your order, so that you can spray the remedy onto the soles of the feet. The remedy will work just as well whichever way you use it.

Babies under 6 months – 1 drop or 1 spray

Babies 6-12 months       – 2 drops or 1 spray

12 months and above   – 4 drops

Organic German Sucrose

Give 1 or 2 pilules per dose regardless of age.

Crush between 2 clean teaspoons if you are giving to a baby and you are uncomfortable with giving whole.

Sometimes the pilules can look wet. This is due to the nature of the organic sucrose. The alcohol – which is the remedy applied to the pilules – will evaporate off as you use your remedies. They should not stick together and this does not affect the effect of the remedies.

Homeopathy is about quality, not quantity!

Tissue Salts

If you have selected a single tissue salt remedy or a combination, the general suggestion is to take three times a day for up to three months (as per Dr Schuessler’s advice). However, we would expect you would see improvement much sooner than this, likely as soon as a couple of weeks.  If you have taken for one month with no obvious difference, choose another tissue salt or consult your homeopath.

Bottle Sizes

10g pilules: approximately 110 pilules

30ml drops: approximately 120 doses at 4 drops per dose

50ml drops: approximately 200 doses at 4 drops per doses
