Description

Many of us will be familiar with using Ignatia for very acute and fresh grief and Natrum Mur for longer standing, deep or suppressed grief. These are probably the most commonly known homeopathics for the deep emotions which we will all experience at some point, whether it be the loss of a parent or friend, a pet or even a job or opportunity.

These two remedies will frequently be enough to settle us down and allow us to process and move through these emotions over time.

But sometimes these deep and transformational emotions can become stuck and we can find ourselves dwelling in them and finding they hold us back from living a full  life.

Sometimes distraction becomes our avoidance technique when things get too hard, but often we are aware that we have suppressed feelings and emotions, held deeply within to protect us from the pain and suffering we perceive we will experience if we try to address them.

When thinking about making a combination for Grief & Loss, we tossed up whether to actually create this remedy as a Soul Harmonic – a specifically vibrational essence, because it does touch the esoteric realms. However, we decided that to make it a standard homeocombination may make it more accessible to everyone; those who home prescribe and are moving into the spiritual and those who are well on their way to understanding the transformational power of these events.

The vibrational remedies in this combination are at the 200x potency, which is my favourite for gentle but deep change on the mental, emotional and etheric levels, with an ability to bring peace, healing and insight.

Three of the remedies make up the “Triple Salts” – Himalayan Crystal Salt, Natrum Mur, Winchelsea Sea Salt – which is a useful and pretty standard combination of three profoundly deep acting grief remedies.

To this we’ve added Chalice Well Water which is always, for me, an energy which lifts us up while at the same time grounding us, allowing us to see the gifts and the messages that are often part of these times of grief and loss.

Finally we wanted a specifically heart-centred energy to soothe the pain and clear the heart. There are lots of remedies and essences we could have chosen, but the colour green as a vibrational remedy felt like the perfect piece of the grief and loss puzzle, tying everything together and opening up the channels to heal.

If your own homeopathic prescribing and other modalities and techniques aren’t achieving the outcomes you were hoping for, I always suggest a consultation with your homeopath. We are all so individual when it comes to how we face grief and loss that the more common remedies may not touch us on the level required. Sometimes the depth of emotion we feel is not related to the current event, but goes further back to earlier times or even different lives.

Dosage for Remedies

These notes are a general guide.

Homeopathy is not an exact science and while we can offer general suggestions as to how to give the remedies, each case will be a little different in terms of how often a remedy may be required to bring about improvement.

With homeopathics, because we are working with energy, not substance, we want to give just enough to stimulate the body to do the job. If your remedy works brilliantly with the first dose, you don’t need to repeat unless the symptoms appear to be coming back again.

Do read the individual directions on each product (both on the label and in the How to Use in the product description) to ascertain whether usage differs to the suggestions here.

Drops

Our products are made up according to traditional homeopathic pharmacy protocols and include a small amount of pure alcohol as a preservative.  You can read the FAQ here on alcohol in remedies.

For newborns,  if you do not wish to put the drops in the mouth, you may apply to the soles of the foot or the top of the head. You can also purchase drops and add a spray top to your order, so that you can spray the remedy onto the soles of the feet. The remedy will work just as well whichever way you use it.

Babies under 6 months – 1 drop or 1 spray

Babies 6-12 months       – 2 drops or 1 spray

12 months and above   – 4 drops

Organic German Sucrose

Give 1 or 2 pilules per dose regardless of age.

Crush between 2 clean teaspoons if you are giving to a baby and you are uncomfortable with giving whole.

Sometimes the pilules can look wet. This is due to the nature of the organic sucrose. The alcohol – which is the remedy applied to the pilules – will evaporate off as you use your remedies. They should not stick together and this does not affect the effect of the remedies.

Homeopathy is about quality, not quantity!

Tissue Salts

If you have selected a single tissue salt remedy or a combination, the general suggestion is to take three times a day for up to three months (as per Dr Schuessler’s advice). However, we would expect you would see improvement much sooner than this, likely as soon as a couple of weeks.  If you have taken for one month with no obvious difference, choose another tissue salt or consult your homeopath.

Bottle Sizes

10g pilules: approximately 110 pilules

30ml drops: approximately 120 doses at 4 drops per dose

50ml drops: approximately 200 doses at 4 drops per doses
