Mag Phos (Magnesium) Cream

Description

Magnesium phosphoricum (or plain old Mag Phos) is a well known homeopathic remedy which can be useful in low potency to help with cramps, muscular tightness or pain and things like growing pains in children and menstrual/period pain.

It has always been available in our store as drops or pilules.

We’ve now made it available as a cream because a localised application may work better than taking the remedy by mouth in some situations.

We still suggest pilules are your best option for carrying in your bag or backpack and we suggest taking Mag Phos in warm water for optimum results!

The gentle base formula, used by Australian herbalists and naturopaths for over 20 years, will also support repair of irritated, dry, flakey and rough skin in combination with the healing action of the homeopathic ingredients.

Cream Base Ingredients List

Vege Base Cream is a fragrance free, light, non greasy, all purpose cream specifically formulated to care for all skin types, even those with sensitive skin.

This gentle formula supports repair of irritated, dry, flakey and rough skin. Vege Base Cream is made from pure plant derived ingredients.

Gentle enough to be used as a moisturiser for baby on nappy rashes. Useful after shaving and for after sun care. Perfect for cleansing and make-up removal. Ideal for gardeners.

Dosage for Remedies

These notes are a general guide.

Homeopathy is not an exact science and while we can offer general suggestions as to how to give the remedies, each case will be a little different in terms of how often a remedy may be required to bring about improvement.

With homeopathics, because we are working with energy, not substance, we want to give just enough to stimulate the body to do the job. If your remedy works brilliantly with the first dose, you don’t need to repeat unless the symptoms appear to be coming back again.

Do read the individual directions on each product (both on the label and in the How to Use in the product description) to ascertain whether usage differs to the suggestions here.

Drops

Our products are made up according to traditional homeopathic pharmacy protocols and include a small amount of pure alcohol as a preservative.  You can read the FAQ here on alcohol in remedies.

For newborns,  if you do not wish to put the drops in the mouth, you may apply to the soles of the foot or the top of the head. You can also purchase drops and add a spray top to your order, so that you can spray the remedy onto the soles of the feet. The remedy will work just as well whichever way you use it.

Babies under 6 months – 1 drop or 1 spray

Babies 6-12 months       – 2 drops or 1 spray

12 months and above   – 4 drops

Organic German Sucrose

Give 1 or 2 pilules per dose regardless of age.

Crush between 2 clean teaspoons if you are giving to a baby and you are uncomfortable with giving whole.

Sometimes the pilules can look wet. This is due to the nature of the organic sucrose. The alcohol – which is the remedy applied to the pilules – will evaporate off as you use your remedies. They should not stick together and this does not affect the effect of the remedies.

Homeopathy is about quality, not quantity!

Tissue Salts

If you have selected a single tissue salt remedy or a combination, the general suggestion is to take three times a day for up to three months (as per Dr Schuessler’s advice). However, we would expect you would see improvement much sooner than this, likely as soon as a couple of weeks.  If you have taken for one month with no obvious difference, choose another tissue salt or consult your homeopath.

Bottle Sizes

10g pilules: approximately 110 pilules

30ml drops: approximately 120 doses at 4 drops per dose

50ml drops: approximately 200 doses at 4 drops per doses
