Rumex is traditionally used for many conditions, but often at home is indicated for dry, irritating cough, worse for cold and at night.

Rumex traditionally has many uses in homeopathy. For home use it tends to be mainly indicated for cough, sometimes where Phosphorus looks indicated but doesn’t help.
Cough with sensitiveness to cold air. Cough caused by an incessant tickling in the throat, as if suffocating. Very dry and irritating. Touching the throat brings on the cough. Covering the body and the head with the bed-clothes often stops the cough.
The cough and any skin symptoms are worse by uncovering or exposure to air.
Worse: cold air, change of weather, at night

Homeopathy is not an exact science and while we can offer general suggestions as to how to give the remedies, each case will be a little different in terms of how often a remedy may be required to bring about improvement.
With homeopathics, because we are working with energy, not substance, we want to give just enough to stimulate the body to do the job. If your remedy works brilliantly with the first dose, you don’t need to repeat unless the symptoms appear to be coming back again.

Our products are made up according to traditional homeopathic pharmacy protocols and include a small amount of pure alcohol as a preservative. You can read the FAQ here on alcohol in remedies.
For newborns, if you do not wish to put the drops in the mouth, you may apply to the soles of the foot or the top of the head. You can also purchase drops and add a spray top to your order, so that you can spray the remedy onto the soles of the feet. The remedy will work just as well whichever way you use it.
Babies under 6 months – 1 drop or 1 spray
Babies 6-12 months – 2 drops or 1 spray
12 months and above – 4 drops
Give 1 or 2 pilules per dose regardless of age.
Crush between 2 clean teaspoons if you are giving to a baby and you are uncomfortable with giving whole.
Sometimes the pilules can look wet. This is due to the nature of the organic sucrose. The alcohol – which is the remedy applied to the pilules – will evaporate off as you use your remedies. They should not stick together and this does not affect the effect of the remedies.

With homeopathics, because we are working with energy, not substance, we want to give just enough to stimulate the body to do the job. If your remedy works brilliantly with the first dose, you don’t need to repeat unless the symptoms appear to be coming back again.
If you have selected a single tissue salt remedy or a combination, the general suggestion is to take three times a day for up to three months (as per Dr Schuessler’s advice). However, we would expect you would see improvement much sooner than this, likely as soon as a couple of weeks. If you have taken for one month with no obvious difference, choose another tissue salt or consult your homeopath.
10g pilules: approximately 110 pilules
30ml drops: approximately 120 doses at 4 drops per dose
50ml drops: approximately 200 doses at 4 drops per doses
