Description
Ledum has traditionally been used for puncture wounds, eg rusty nails, insect stings, animal bites and bruises.
This is a useful remedy to take if you go to hospital for treatment and have a tetanus shot, but want to additionally support healing.
It is also indicated for eye injuries after Arnica has been given. It has an affinity for the capillaries (bloodshot, bruised or black eyes).
The patient may feel intensely cold, as does the injured part, but it is better for cold applications.
The injured parts may become blue or purple and puffy.
Worse warmth.
Better cold applications.
Always seek medical assistance in an emergency and for a fever in a child under 6 months old.
